Do Your Under Eyes Need Some TLC?

Skin, skin, and more skin. Is there anyone out there who's never felt troubled by some aspect of their skin? Well, we know we've been constantly troubled by one area more than any other lately. The area around the eyes is prone to some of the earliest signs of aging, and we think we know why!

Whether you've been going without sleep or water, your under eyes are some of the first places you can notice a difference when you're not taking care of yourself right. It's one of the thinnest and most delicate parts of our skin, so you should take care of it before doing some irreversible damage.

Causes

First, let's take a look at some of the factors that end up causing damage to your under eyes:

  • Genetic reasons: I mean, you may have inherited a lot of your dad's gruff charm and your mom's temper, but did you know that their under eyes may have also been passed along to you?
  • Allergies: They sure cause havoc inside and outside your system :(
  • Fatigue/exhaustion/loss of sleep/insomnia: Basically, not getting the recommended bare minimum of 6-8 hours of sleep isn't ideal
  • Sun exposure: Those UV rays damage all parts of your skin, so keep a check on it by applying some sunscreen.

While these are just some of the common reasons why your under eyes may be looking more troubled, there's no reason to fret when we've got some solutions for you!

You can add the following remedies when you're looking for skincare products online, and since most of the things used are versatile, you're bound to get tons of use from them!

Remedy #1: Staying Hydrated

We know we've said it before, but in case you didn't believe us then, believe us now! Water is essential, not just because it helps you stay healthy, but because it's excellent for your skin overall. Don't skip and see the results for yourself!

Remedy #2: Adding Retinol Products

Retinol is a great ingredient found in many skincare products online today. It doesn't just help fight acne but actively fights aging signs too. You can find this Vitamin A variant in cream, gel, or even liquid form. Some of our Anatomicals products also contain many vitamins, including Retinol, so you know it must be good!

Remedy #3: Wear that SPF

Look, we hate to break it to you, but getting that SPF on your skin is CRUCIAL. Not only will it help prevent wrinkles and pigmentation down the line, but it also helps even out your skin tone over time. Wear at least an SPF 35 and above for Indian weather, no matter where you're living.

Remedy #4: Use Tea Bags

Caffeinated tea bags are great for short-term wonders. They help de-puff and give relief to your under eyes. So, next time you're done sipping your tea, try applying the bags to your eyes! (absolutely no pun intended!) It contains a powerhouse of antioxidants that increase blood flow to the skin and slow down signs of aging too.

Remedy #5: Moisturize Away!

Your under eyes need some tender loving care, so give it to them! Don't forget to moisturize with creams that can help hydrate them even more! You can look for specialty products meant to work for your under eyes specifically. Look for paraben-free products online to save yourself from excessive chemicals too!
